Signing In Sidekick Pro

The first time you open Sidekick Pro, you’ll see a welcome screen asking you to sign in. A Sidekick account keeps your subscription, usage, and settings tied to you, and it’s required to use the app.

How to Sign In

  1. Launch Sidekick Pro. You’ll see the Welcome to Sidekick Pro! screen.
  2. Choose one of the three sign-in providers:
    • Sign in with Apple
    • Sign in with Google
    • Sign in with Microsoft
  3. Complete the sign-in in the window that appears. You’re in.

There’s no separate email-and-password account to create. Your Sidekick account is simply whichever Apple, Google, or Microsoft account you choose, so pick one you’ll remember. Use the same provider every time to keep your account consistent.

The Getting Started Walkthrough

After you sign in for the first time, Sidekick Pro shows a short Getting Started walkthrough with tips and videos. Use Next and Back to page through it, and click Get Started on the last page to jump into the app. You can rewatch it anytime from the menu bar under Help → Getting Started.

DYM and Coleader Accounts

Your Sidekick sign-in is different from your Download Youth Ministry or Coleader membership. Those are optional add-ons that unlock member features and content, and you connect them later in Preferences → Account:

  • DYM Account — sign in with your Download Youth Ministry email and password to unlock Gold Member features and access your DYM purchases.
  • Coleader Account — enter your Coleader email, click Send Login Link, then verify with the link you receive.

Working Offline

Once you’ve signed in, Sidekick Pro keeps you signed in even without internet for up to 30 days at a time. If you’ve been offline longer than that, the app will ask you to reconnect to the internet briefly so it can verify your account, then you’re good to go again.

Signing Out

Go to Preferences → Account and click Sign Out under your Sidekick Account. Your presentations and games stay on your Mac — signing out doesn’t delete your library.
