Found something that isn’t working right? We want to hear about it! Bug reports from real youth rooms are how Sidekick Pro gets better.

How to Report a Bug
- In the menu bar, choose Help → Report a Bug
- Your browser opens our bug report form.
- Fill it out and submit.
TIP: Screenshots or videos are the best way for us to understand any issues you’re facing. The more information you can include about your hardware, your internet set up, and the issue you’re facing, the more likely we can replicate it.
What Makes a Great Bug Report
The more detail you give, the faster we can find and fix the problem:
- What you were doing — Which feature you were in and what you clicked or pressed right before things went wrong.
- What happened vs. what you expected — “The wheel froze mid-spin” is much more useful than “it broke.”
- Can you make it happen again? — If you can reproduce it, list the steps. A reproducible bug is a fixable bug.
- A screenshot or screen recording — Worth a thousand words, especially for anything visual.
- Your setup — Your macOS version, machine model, and whether you had an external display or a live audience session running.
- Your email — So we can follow up or let you know when it’s fixed.
If Something Goes Wrong Mid-Program
A quick triage list for show night:
- If typing stops working in text fields, press Cmd+Shift+Option+T to reset keyboard input.
- If the audience display looks wrong, close it from the display menu in the right sidebar and reopen it.
- If a live audience feature is stuck, end that feature’s session and start it again — audience members reconnect automatically with the same QR code.
- Restarting the app is safe: your library is saved as you work.
Then, once the dust settles, send us the bug report so it doesn’t happen to the next leader.
