Sidekick There are three ways to unlock the full Sidekick Pro experience, and they work together — you always get the best access from whatever you have.
Option 1: Subscribe in the App
Go to Preferences → Account → Subscription and click Subscribe. You’ll see two options, billed through your Apple Account:
- Sidekick Pro Monthly
- Sidekick Pro Yearly (a significant savings over paying monthly)
Both include all premium features — Boxes, Wheel of Destiny, Pick Me, Leaderboard, Survey Says, Countdown Maker, Pixelate, Photo Fury, Slides, Announcement Loops, and more. Because billing runs through Apple, you manage or cancel the subscription in your Apple Account settings — the Manage button in Sidekick takes you straight there.
Switched Macs or reinstalled? Click Restore Purchases on the same screen.
Option 2: DYM Membership
If you’re a Download Youth Ministry member, sign in at Preferences → Account → DYM Account with your DownloadYouthMinistry.com email and password. Gold, Gold+, and Platinum memberships unlock paid features — no separate subscription needed.

Option 3: Coleader membership
Coleader Premium and Premium+ members get access too. Go to Preferences → Account → Coleader Account, enter your coleader.co email, click Send Login Link, and verify with the link that arrives in your inbox.
If you have an active DYM or Coleader membership, you won’t see subscription prompts in the app — you’re already covered.
Free vs. Paid
Free accounts can explore the app, and locked features show a lock icon in the Feature Library. Clicking a locked feature shows an Upgrade Required prompt with your options: sign in with a DYM or Coleader account, or subscribe with your Apple Account.
Your memberships keep working offline for extended periods, so a spotty internet week won’t lock you out.
Getting Content into Sidekick Pro
The ADDITIONAL RESOURCES section at the bottom of the left sidebar is where ready-made content lives:
- DYM Purchases — Games and resources you’ve already bought from the DYM store that are Sidekick-ready. Sign in with your DYM account, browse, and click Import to add any of them to your library.
- Coleader Library — Sidekick-ready resources included with your Coleader subscription. Sign in with your Coleader account to browse and import.
- FREE Resources — Free games and resources from DYM, no account or purchase required. New items get a red NEW badge, and some are free for a limited time — check back regularly.
Everything you import lands in your Feature Library like any document you built yourself: edit it, add it to presentations, make it yours.
