Live Ranking hands your audience a list and lets them drag it into their own order — best pizza topping, top worship song, most important friendship quality — then combines everyone’s rankings into one crowd-sourced verdict on the big screen.
Building a Ranking
Create a new Live Ranking document from the Feature Library:
- Write your prompt (e.g. “Rank these movies”).
- Add 3 to 8 options, each with a color.
In Settings (gear icon): Show QR Code (on by default), Show Live Results (off by default — rankings work best as a reveal), and Result Format (None or Score). Display Options covers the Title Graphic and Background.

Running It
- Press play, then Start Voting.
- Phones show the options as a draggable list — “Drag to rank — your #1 pick goes on top” — with a Submit Ranking button. Each person submits once; no name needed.
- Watch the voter count climb, then Stop Voting and flip on Show Live Results for the reveal.
- Resume to collect more, Reset to clear and rerun, End to finish. An Export CSV appears when the session ends.
Results combine everyone’s orderings into overall scores: an option earns more points the higher each person ranks it, so the final bars reflect the whole room’s consensus, not just first-place votes. Turn on Reorder Live Results to keep the bars sorted as scores shift.
Tips
- Keep results hidden while voting (the default) — announcing “your number one pick is…” lands better than letting the bars spoil it.
- Ranking takes more thought than a poll tap. Give the room a beat to actually drag before you close voting.
