Live Pick Me is the name-picker where the room builds the list: students join from their phones, their names pile into the lobby on the big screen, and you spin to pick one at random. No typing rosters, no missing the visiting friend — if they scanned in, they’re in the draw.
Setting It Up
Create a new Live Pick Me document from the Feature Library. Setup is light:
- Winner / Loser Messages — Customize what the winner sees (“YOU WON! Come to the stage!”).
- Result Colors — Winner and loser screen colors.
- Remove After Pick — Winners leave the pool so nobody wins twice.

Display Options covers the Theme, Font, Text Color, Title Graphic, Background, and the draggable, resizable name box — position it, size it, and add an optional background panel so names pop over any backdrop.
Playing
- Press play. The display shows the lobby with the join QR and a live count as students scan in and enter their names (each name passes content moderation before joining). You can remove anyone from the player list.
- Click Spin — names cycle rapidly on the display.
- Click Stop — one name lands. The winner’s own phone lights up with your winner message, so there’s no “wait, who?” even in a loud room.
- Next Round to go again (with the winner removed, if Remove After Pick is on).
There’s also a host option to see the next winner before the audience — a private preview on your controls before the room finds out.
Options during play: Show Title, Show Player Names, and Play Sounds.
Tips
- The winner’s phone knowing it won is the magic moment — tell students to watch their screens as you stop the spin.
- Have a pre-typed list instead of a live crowd? Classic Pick Me (in Games) is the phone-free version.
