How to Resize the Sidekick Pro Control Window Interface

The Sidekick Pro control window is divided into three main areas: the left-hand sidebar, the right-hand sidebar, and the center timeline. You can customize the size and layout of each area to suit your display and workflow preferences.

Resizing the Sidebars

Both the left and right sidebars can be resized independently:

  1. Hover your cursor over the edge of the sidebar you want to resize.
  2. Click and drag the edge to adjust the width.
  3. Release when the sidebar is at your preferred size.

You can do this on either the left or right sidebar.

Adjusting the Overall Interface Size

Depending on the size and resolution of your screen, the text and buttons in the user interface may appear too large or too small. To adjust the overall scale of the interface:

  • To make the interface smaller: Hold down Command and press - (minus).
  • To make the interface larger: Hold down Command and press + (plus).

Repeat as needed until the interface is at a comfortable size for your display.

Zooming the Center Timeline

The center timeline displays your slides, and you can control how many slides appear at once:

  1. Locate the zoom slider in the center timeline area.
  2. Drag the slider to zoom in (fewer, larger slides) or zoom out (more, smaller slides).
  3. Adjust until you can see the number of slides that works best for your workflow.

Tips

  • Take a moment to set up your sidebars, interface scale, and timeline zoom at the start of each session for the best experience.
  • Your ideal settings may vary depending on the screen you’re using, so feel free to adjust as needed.
