Sidekick Pro is built around a three-panel layout: your library on the left, your workspace in the center, and your display controls on the right. Here’s a quick tour.
The Left Sidebar: Your Library
The left sidebar is home base. From top to bottom you’ll find:
- Presentation Library: Your presentations (ordered lineups of slides, games, and features for an event) and folders. Click the + button to create a New Presentation or New Folder. Right-click any presentation for options like Start Presentation, Rename, Duplicate Presentation, and Export Presentation.

- Feature Library: Every tool in Sidekick Pro, from Slides and Songs to games like Boxes and Wheel of Destiny to live audience features like Live Polls. Click a feature to see its documents and create new ones. If a feature shows a lock icon, it’s not included in your current plan. You can right-click any feature and choose Hide from Library to tidy up the list.
- Tip: Drag to reorder the Feature Library sidebar, and hide any features you don’t use from Preferences > General — you can always bring them back later.

- Additional Resources: Ready-made content you can import: DYM Purchases, Coleader Library, and FREE Resources.

The Center Panel: Your Workspace
- The center is where you build and edit. Open a document from the Feature Library and its editor appears here; open a presentation and you’ll see its timeline of sections and items. When nothing is open, you’ll see the welcome screen.

The Right Sidebar: Display Controls
- Display Preview: A live preview of your presentation display, with Show Logo and Blackout buttons at the top.
- Display Menu: Shows a green dot and your screen name when a display is connected (or Open Display when not). Use it to open the audience display on an external screen, windowed or full-screen.
- Transition Menu: Choose how changes dissolve on screen, from Cut (instant) up to a 3-second fade.
- Media Controls: Scrub, play/pause, skip, and adjust volume when a video is playing.

- Interactive Audience Features: Start and manage a live audience session so students can join games from their phones. See “Starting and Ending an Interactive Audience Session” for details.
